Wanjiru, the 23 year old who won the marathon last year, setting a course-record time of 2:05:10 is the man to beat at the race. For the record, Wanjiru has won four out of five marathons that he participated in his career, he only took second in the London Marathon last 2008. Apparently, Wanjiru took the 2008 Olympics Gold medal setting an Olympics record of 2:06:32.
Meanwhile, other Kenyans to watch include Duncan Kibet who is the second fastest marathoner of all time, with a record of 2:04:27 set in the 2009 Rotterdam Marathon.
