On this day in 1962, WARNER BROTHERS PICTURES released GYPSY. Directed by MERVYN LeROY, this epic biopic of famed stripper GYPSY ROSE LEE was based on the hit Broadway play of the same name. The all-star cast (of non-singers btw) featured ROSALIND RUSSELL, NATALIE WOOD, KARL MALDEN and a very young ANN JILLIAN (as Dainty June). A musical classic!
